Pilates
Equipment Pilates Sessions
Private or Small Group (1–3 participants)
An initial individual physiotherapy assessment is required prior to joining group sessions.
Ongoing sessions may be conducted by either a physiotherapist or a qualified Pilates instructor, depending on your goals, physical conditions, and personal preferences.
What to expect?
We provide a comprehensive initial physiotherapy assessment and create a personalised program tailored to your specific needs, with modifications for any injuries or conditions. Sessions include a fusion of Pilates equipment (reformer, tower, wunda chair), physiotherapy-based exercises, mat work, strength-training and small props such as resistance bands and balls.
Private Health rebates are available for physiotherapist-led sessions (depending on your level of cover)**.
**Rebates may become available with Pilates instructors in the near future. In 2025 Pilates has been recommended for re-inclusion in private health insurance Extras cover (after it was removed in 2019).
It’s important to note that each private health fund will decide whether or not to include Pilates. Implementation by insurers may take some time, there is no fixed start date for when these therapies will be covered again. We recommend checking with your individual health fund.
